I want to tell you about this little gem of a place I discovered while wandering around Omaha – the Omaha Wine Company. If you’re a wine enthusiast like me, you will not want to miss this place.

Firstly, let me tell you about the staff. They are beyond amazing. My friend Jake and I popped in for a “Sip and Learn” class and we were floored by how much we learned. The staff were so knowledgeable and willing to answer every question we had. They even help you find a bottle that fits within your budget without making you feel any kind of way. I’ve got to give a shout-out to John, a hilarious and cool guy who really helped make our wine buying experience one of the best we’ve had.

The selection here is out of this world. Whether you are looking for a bottle for a special occasion, or just trying to find something new to try, they’ve got you covered. I remember this one time, I needed to find a 30-year wine for my parents’ wedding anniversary. The staff were so helpful and guided me right to what I was looking for. They have an impressive array of wines, and the owner really knows his stuff. He personally walked me through his shelves, giving me an unbiased opinion about each and every wine.

Something else worth mentioning is the owner, a friendly chap who recently took over. The customer service has been nothing short of amazing under his leadership. This one time, my colleague, Hayley, visited and was thrilled with the personalized recommendations she got based on her budget.

I would highly recommend attending their events when vintners are in town. It’s such an incredible opportunity to meet winemakers, taste a variety of wines, and expand your wine knowledge.

But I have to be honest, not everything was sunshine and roses. One of my friends, Lisa, felt the staff were a bit condescending. That hasn’t been my experience, but it’s something to bear in mind.

All in all, I find myself visiting Omaha Wine Company every time I’m in town. Heck, I’ve even considered shopping over the phone from my home in Charleston, SC. If you’re a wine lover in or around Omaha, do yourself a favor and check this place out. It’s worth every cent!

Oh, the Spirit World! One Sunday, my pal Andy and I decided to take a detour to the Spirit World in Aksarben. Can you believe it? They have the most impressive selection of wines, beers, and spirits, and I kid you not, it’s seemingly endless.

Straight away, Andy headed to the bar and whipped up one of the best aviations I’ve ever had. If I had my way, I would be back there every Sunday just for her aviations, they’re just so divine! The staff were all super friendly and boy, did they know their stuff. The kind of expertise they had was pretty impressive, I must say.

There was this wine that caught my eye, a nice Barbancourt, if memory serves. I’ve been on the hunt for this everywhere and, believe it or not, I found it right here at Spirit World! Such a pleasant surprise, I tell you.

On a different note, the place is also a great meeting spot. The tables are set up at just the right distance from each other that you can have a private conversation, but still feel part of the wider ambiance. The music and overall tone of the place really hit the sweet spot for a comfortable hangout.

Now, let me tell you about a unique experience I had here. My friend John and I once hosted a private wine tasting and networking event in their back room. The setup was seamless, and they even had a guide walk us through the wines. The event went off without a hitch and our guests had a fantastic time. If you’re looking for a private event space for a smaller group, this is your place, hands down.

In terms of convenience, Spirit World is top-notch. It’s in such a handy location that we often love to ride our bikes here. It’s casual, it’s classy, and the staff make every experience feel ‘top shelf’. They’re not only friendly, but they even remember my name, which always makes me feel right at home.

Not to mention, this place is more than just a liquor store or a bar – it’s an amazing experience. So whether you’re in need of a gift for a dinner party, looking to host an event, or just want to chill with friends, you can’t go wrong with Spirit World.

Would I recommend it? Absolutely! If you haven’t visited yet, trust me, you’re missing out. Cheers to more fun times at Spirit World! 🥂

So there I was, hunting for my boyfriend’s favorite wine. I Googled here, I Googled there, and was this close to placing an order online, but shipping was as expensive as the wine itself! Major party foul, am I right? That’s when I stumbled across Wall to Wall Wine & Spirits, a hidden gem in our city.

It’s close to my house (handy for impromptu gatherings!), and from the moment I walked in, it felt like I had hit the jackpot. Imagine a kid in a candy store, but for adults – this place is legit!

The selection is vast, I mean it’s not called ‘Wall to Wall’ for no reason. You name it, they’ve got it. Wine? Check. Spirits? Check. Beer? Triple check. I even discovered a new love for mead here! I could tell you about their incredible assortment of snacks, cheeses, and meats, but then we’d be here all day.

Plus, the pricing is pretty great. Fair on most items, and some – like charcuterie – are an absolute steal. To sweeten the deal, they have this nifty system that lets you use Cash App to rack up points and regularly text out discount deals. And they host nights where you can sample different beers, wines, etc. So cool, right?

The folks working there? Top-notch. I remember this friendly red-haired lady who was a whiz when it came to South African wines. She recommended a similar one when the one I was hunting for was out of stock – kudos to her! However, ask Davey for allocated bourbon and you might leave him a bit befuddled. But hey, nobody’s perfect!

One last thing I’d like to mention is the cleanliness of the store. Everything is organized, well-kept, and inviting. It made for a pleasant shopping experience and it’s definitely my new favorite. However, while I appreciate the low prices, the customer service could use a bit of a boost. But don’t let that stop you from paying a visit to this alcohol haven!

So, folks, if you’re planning a party or a nice dinner, or if you just enjoy exploring the world of adult beverages, Wall to Wall Wine & Spirits is the place to be. Hope to see you there, cheers! 🍻
P.S. They’ve got multiple locations, so check out the one closest to you!
